The Transmodern Performance Festival, a thirteen year strong nationally renowned experimental art festival, celebrates this year’s election angst with a (Let Them Eat) CAKEWALK through The Peale Museum, Baltimore’s legendary abandoned natural history museum and former city hall site. Artists will unpack the history of the Cake Walk through performance, site-specific installations, happenings, dance, music, film and other political fanfare. The Transmodern Festival will expose the many layers of cake with burlesque, political pageantry and a City Hall Levitation!

The Transmodern Festival was the winner of “Best Arts Festival” by Baltimore Magazine in 2014 and “Best Art Event” by City Paper in 2006, 2011 and 2013.
