Weekends

www.myspace.com/weekendstheband   -  weekendsbaltimore.tumblr.com/

Adam Lempel and Brendan Sullivan met while they were both students in Baltimore; Lempel was a philosophy student at Johns Hopkins and Sullivan a sculpture major at Maryland Institute College of Art. Lempel approached Sullivan at a show of his previous band (Allnitr) and they soon began playing together. Weekends was formed in Baltimore in 2008, they self released their first self titled Lp that same year. Their second full length “Strange Cultures” was release on Friends Records in 2010.

“Weekends embody a sense of being that bounces somewhere between pure joy and relentless angst, and everywhere in between. The result of their friendship has become optimistically twisted rock and roll derived from every corner of psych, art, garage, noise pop, surf, drone and whatever else you want it to be”
