TWILIGHT PARADE WORKSHOPS
Come join the 2015 Transmodern Festival at Current Gallery for 5 days of workshops, making,
merry-making and collective Action! Make an illuminated headresses, lanterns, instruments and masks for The Twilight Parade – kicking off on Sunday, October 4th. This years Twilight Parade:(InThe) Aether celebrates the history of Baltimore including the ancestors whose energies still dance among us. Bring your memories and make an illuminated memento to celebrate Baltimore’s past and present as we march into the future….

On October 3 join Fluid Movement for a special Love Parade Workshop!
12:00pm-3:00pm at 403 N Paca St, Baltimore, Maryland 21201
On October 4 join the Nonument Baltimore for a special mini-monument workshop!
3:30pm-6:30pm at Current Gallery
Nonoment Baltimore will be building mini-monument models of the Mckeldin Fountain during the workshop. Based on the various primitive shapes of the brutalist architecture of the Fountain itself, they will create experiential models while discussing and sharing stories about the complexity of this public space. At the end of the Transmodern Twilight Parade, as a collecibe action we will illuminate the mini-monuments and float them in the Fountain.
Also in the Current Space is TreasuRing, an interactive intallation created by GamaLama Baltimore ryan thoth and Justin Smith). GamaLama invites you to spin their golden wheel, ring bells, and make some noise in their interactive sound environment during the Transmodern Parade Making Workshops.
