Rebecca Nagle
I am a performance artist, educator and community organizer living and working in Baltimore. I am an internationally exhibited and collected artist with works in the New Museum, NY and Ssamzie Art Warehouse, South Korea. I have performed in over 30 different cities on three different continents including The Walters Art Museum, The Filmore Detroit, Begehungen Kunstfestival, St Marks Church, WOW Cafe, and Eyebeam. I was hailed by the City Paper as “Baltimore’s own little bundle of deconstructionist feminist showgirl joy” and as a “life-is-art-is-life performance maven…mingling the internet and performance into a fresh and vital new thing”. My performative, interactive and community art projects challenge the race, class, gender and sexuality norms that limit people’s lives. I am currently trying to make the world a more open, equitable and creative place through community organizing and radical performance art. To follow my efforts go to www.rebeccanagle.com
