    Lydia Kenselaar grew up in Maplewood, NJ and moved to Baltimore to attend Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she received a BFA in Fiber in 2007. She has also studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the Art Students League, and the Parsons New School for Design in New York. Lydia’s work uses traditional textile construction techniques, such as knitting, quilting, and lace-making, to explore contemporary social and political issues. She began exploring curatorial work in 2008 as a member of the curatorial team for the retrospective exhibition Follies, Predicaments, and Other Conundrums: The Works of Laure Drogoul held at MICA.
