Laure Drogoul is an interdisciplinary artist, performer and founding director of The 14Karat Cabaret, Maryland Art Place’s performance space/experimental laboratory.  Laure’s art works are a hybrid combination of new media, sculpture and performance that incorporate audience participation. Laure is committed to art as social practice and cultural strategies that emphasizes people in relationships to each other and their environment. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. She has received Maryland State Art Awards, a Franklin Furnace Award for Performance Art and has been a recipient of a US/Japan Creative Artist Fellowship. In 2006 Ms. Drogoul was honored with The Janet and Walter Sondheim Prize.
